Nice hotel recommendations needed.

Hello. Need recommendation on the nice hotel in Flagstaff. We will be wrapping up very busy national parks road trip staying in various accommodations night here and night there along the way. I would like to use last few nights of the trip to unwind in beautiful surroundings and do few low key activities. Can someone provide a recommendation for quality hotel in beautiful setting with a view and some facilities (like a nice lobby at least). Two middle aged adults. Traveling end of September. Will be in Flagstaff over the weekend, likely Friday through Monday. Thank You.

Flagstaff offers several charming and high-quality hotels that provide a relaxing atmosphere, scenic surroundings, and comfortable amenities—perfect for unwinding after a busy national parks road trip. Given your preference for a beautiful setting, nice lobby, and low-key activities, here are some options to consider:

  • Little America Hotel Flagstaff: This is a classic choice known for its spacious rooms, forested grounds, and a large, welcoming lobby. It offers a peaceful setting with walking paths, a heated outdoor pool, and on-site dining. Many guests appreciate the tranquil environment surrounded by Ponderosa pines.
  • Highland Country Inn: A boutique hotel located slightly outside the busy downtown area. It features cozy, well-appointed rooms and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. It’s quiet, ideal for relaxation, and provides easy access to local trails if you want gentle outdoor activity.
  • Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff: Centrally located near downtown, this hotel has comfortable accommodations, a nice lobby, indoor/outdoor pool options, and complimentary evening snacks. While less scenic than Little America, it provides convenience and comfort for a short stay.
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Flagstaff: Offers spacious suites with kitchenettes, which can be nice after several nights on the road. It’s set in a pleasant area with forest views, and the lobby/common areas are inviting for relaxation. Ideal for a longer stay or just a few days to decompress.

For your specific needs—winding down with a comfortable atmosphere, scenic surroundings, and minimal hassle—Little America Hotel Flagstaff often comes highly recommended by travelers for its combination of natural beauty and quality facilities. If you prefer being closer to downtown for dining options and local strolls, Drury Inn or Residence Inn are good alternatives.

End of September is generally a quieter time in Flagstaff before the peak autumn colors, so booking soon is advisable, especially over a weekend. You can enjoy light walks, relax in the hotel’s outdoor areas, and still have easy access to casual restaurants or coffee shops in town without venturing far.
