If you’re looking to enjoy a Florida beach stay without renting a car and have Marriott points to use, you’ll want locations with good access to Uber, restaurants, and nearby attractions. Both Gulf Coast and Atlantic Ocean options can work, depending on your preference for crowds, vibe, and activities.

Gulf Coast Options:

  • Clearwater Beach / Sand Key: Very popular with tourists, wide sandy beaches, calm waters. There are several Marriott properties nearby, such as the Marriott Clearwater Beach or nearby Courtyard / Residence Inn. You can easily Uber from Tampa International Airport (about 30–40 min drive). Plenty of restaurants, shops, and pier activities within walking or short Uber distance.
  • St. Pete Beach / Pass-a-Grille: Slightly quieter than Clearwater, but still has restaurants and bars nearby. Marriott options include trade/affiliate properties like Guy Harvey Outpost or nearby Residence Inn. Uber-friendly, and beach access is easy on foot from most hotels.

Atlantic Coast / Oceanside Options:

  • Fort Lauderdale Beach: Vibrant area with lots of restaurants, beachfront Marriott hotels (like Marriott Harbor Beach Resort), and walkable access along the promenade. Uber from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport is short (~20 min). Great for walking and exploring without a car.
  • Miami Beach / South Beach: Popular for nightlife and beaches. Marriott has several properties, such as the Miami Beach EDITION or nearby Courtyard/Residence Inn. Uber from Miami International Airport is ~20–30 min. The area is very walkable, but can be busy.
  • Delray Beach: Smaller, charming beach town, with a relaxed vibe. Marriott options are more limited, but easily accessible by Uber from Palm Beach International Airport. Great for walking around, dining, and casual beach days.

Tips for No-Car Travel:

  • Check that your Marriott property is within walking distance of restaurants and shops, or that Uber/Lyft service is readily available.
  • Consider proximity to the airport — Gulf Coast airports like Tampa or St. Pete-Clearwater can make Gulf beaches convenient, while Fort Lauderdale or Miami airports are better for Atlantic beaches.
  • Choose a hotel on the main beach strip for easier walking access to food, rentals, and entertainment without needing a car.

In summary, for a no-car beach vacation with Marriott points, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Miami Beach, and Clearwater Beach are excellent options. Each offers walkable areas with Uber availability, restaurants, and good beach access, so it depends on whether you prefer the Gulf’s calmer waters or the Atlantic’s lively beach scene.
