Bangkok airways transfer desks in HKG airport

Hi all, flying out to Koh samui on Saturday route is NCL > DXB > HKG and then down to Koh Samui flights operated by emirates and Bangkok airways transfer desks

I’ve been able to get boarding passes for the first two legs but same issue as last year whereby I can’t get the final boarding pass. Tried searching the emirates airport map but that didn’t bring up a specific set of transfer desks for Bangkok airways just things like W1

Could anyone help please ?

Thanks

At Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), Bangkok Airways does not have a dedicated transfer desk in the traditional sense, but there are specific transfer counters where you can check in or collect boarding passes for connecting flights. Since your itinerary involves Emirates flights to HKG followed by Bangkok Airways to Koh Samui, you will likely need to use the transfer facilities for interline or self-transfer depending on your tickets.

Key information for your transfer:

  • Bangkok Airways usually operates its check-in and transfer counters at Terminal 1 in the Departure Hall.
  • Look for the transfer desks labeled with the airline’s name, or general transfer service counters such as W1–W6 depending on the gate allocation. Airport staff can guide you if it is unclear.
  • If your Bangkok Airways flight is on a separate ticket from Emirates, you may need to collect your luggage and check in again. Make sure to confirm at the Emirates transfer desk whether your luggage can be through-checked to Koh Samui.
  • For self-transfer, follow the signs for “Flight Connections” or “Transfer Desk” after immigration if you have to re-check luggage or get the boarding pass.

Tips:

  • Allow at least 2–3 hours for your transfer in HKG to account for immigration, security, and potential re-checking of luggage.
  • Keep your Emirates boarding passes and passport handy; the Bangkok Airways counter staff will need them to issue your Koh Samui boarding pass.
  • If in doubt, you can ask any airport information desk or Emirates transfer desk, as they are familiar with common partner airline procedures.

In summary, there is no single fixed Bangkok Airways desk location marked on all maps, but Terminal 1 has dedicated transfer counters, often around the W gates area (W1–W6). Airport staff will direct you if needed.
