early flight arrival and luggage storage - please

Hi Everyone,

We'll arrive at 6:30 am in HK and would like to spend 1 day there before taking HSR to Guilin the next day.

We'd like to stay the night close to the HSR station, which I think is Kowloon West.

Could you please let me know which hotel can hold our luggage before the check-in time in the afternoon.

Really appreciate your advice. Thanks so much.

Arriving early in Hong Kong at 6:30 am means your hotel check-in will likely not be available until the standard afternoon time (around 2–3 pm). However, many hotels near Kowloon West and around Hong Kong West Kowloon HSR Station offer luggage storage so you can explore the city without carrying your bags.

Hotel Recommendations for Luggage Storage near Kowloon West / HSR Station:

  • Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui: About 10–15 minutes from HSR station by taxi. They offer complimentary luggage storage for guests before check-in.
  • Hotel ICON: Located in Tsim Sha Tsui East, roughly 10 minutes from HSR station. Luggage can be stored securely at the concierge if arriving early.
  • The Mira Hong Kong: Also near Tsim Sha Tsui, known for efficient front desk service. Early arrivals can leave luggage and explore the city.
  • Novotel Century Hong Kong: Close to Nathan Road and HSR station access. Offers luggage storage for early arrivals.

Tips for Managing Early Arrival:

  • Contact your hotel in advance and inform them of your early arrival; some hotels may offer early check-in for a fee if rooms are available.
  • If your hotel cannot accommodate early check-in, they will almost always allow luggage storage for free or for a nominal fee.
  • Alternatively, Hong Kong West Kowloon Station has a few luggage storage services and lockers where you can leave your bags for a few hours before checking into your hotel.
  • Consider packing a small day bag with essentials if leaving luggage at the hotel or station, so you can enjoy sightseeing comfortably.

With these options, you can arrive early, store your luggage safely, and start exploring Hong Kong without the burden of your main bags.
