Las Vegas - Sedona - Antelope Canyon - Zion - Las Vegas

Hello everyone!

I am working on my next trip :) tried to plan it last year but it did not happen. so here we go again.

I will be in Las Vegas with for a conference and will have some free days after that so i wanted to grab the most out of it.

This is my plan so far.

4/28 - arriving to LV

4/28-4/30 - staying in LV - maybe will hit some shows. We are regulars to LV come at least 3 times a year for conference and trade shows.

If have any suggestions on the shows - please. my plan was maybe Absinthe or Beatles.

Also was thinking to grab one of those one day tours to Death Valley maybe one of the days while in LV.

5/1 - starting really early and driving to Sedona. 2 options either grab jeep tour or the scenic train. Also would love to visit some wineries. Than either stay there overnight or drive to Page and stay overnight there.

5/2 - Antelope Canyon all day. And either stay overnight at Page or drive to Zion and stay overnight there close by.

5/3 - all day at Zion park and then drive back to LV.

5/4 - might be able to add one more day to the trip and come back to LV on 5/4 to fly back home.

Please let me know if it is reasonable timing for all. i have not done this places yet and want to grab as many as possible.

thank you for all the suggestions / ideas. :)

Your proposed itinerary is ambitious but doable, provided you are comfortable with significant driving and some early starts. Here’s a detailed breakdown and some suggestions:

Las Vegas (4/28–4/30)

Since you are regular visitors, your plan to catch a show and enjoy the city is reasonable. Absinthe and The Beatles LOVE are both highly rated; Absinthe is more adult-oriented and interactive, whereas Beatles LOVE is a Cirque du Soleil spectacle. Booking in advance is recommended.

  • Consider one-day tours to Death Valley: these typically depart early and return in the evening. This can be done on either 4/29 or 4/30.
  • Other options for shows include O by Cirque du Soleil, or if you prefer comedy, check the various comedy clubs on the Strip.

Drive to Sedona (5/1)

The drive from Las Vegas to Sedona is about 4.5–5 hours without stops. Options for activities include:

  • Jeep tours: Great for off-road Red Rock experiences; can take 2–3 hours depending on the tour.
  • Scenic train: The Verde Canyon Railroad offers a 4-hour round trip along the scenic Verde River.
  • Wineries: Page Springs Cellars or Javelina Leap Vineyard are worth a visit if you have a few hours.

It is feasible to stay overnight in Sedona or drive onward to Page. Driving Sedona → Page in the evening is around 3 hours.

Antelope Canyon / Page (5/2)

Spending a full day at Antelope Canyon is ideal. Don’t forget that all visits require a guided tour, and booking in advance is essential. You could also include Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon Dam Overlook in the same day if time permits.

  • Stay overnight in Page if you want a more relaxed pace.
  • Driving to Zion in the evening is around 2.5–3 hours. This is doable but could be tiring after a full Antelope Canyon day.

Zion National Park (5/3)

With a full day at Zion, focus on one or two hikes or scenic viewpoints. Angels Landing and The Narrows are iconic, but consider the difficulty and permit requirements. After your day, the drive back to Las Vegas is about 2.5–3 hours.

Optional extra day (5/4)

If you add another day, you could either:

  • Spend more time at Zion or do another hike along the Kolob Canyons section.
  • Take a relaxed drive and stop at scenic points along the way back to Las Vegas.

General tips:

  • Book Antelope Canyon and any Jeep tours well in advance.
  • Expect early mornings, especially for the longer drives and park visits.
  • Keep your itinerary flexible; traffic, weather, or park congestion can affect timing.
  • Carry water and snacks, as services along remote areas between Page and Zion are limited.

Overall, your timing is reasonable but fairly tight. Staying overnight in Sedona and Page helps break up the drives, making the trip less exhausting. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, you could drop one location, but your plan maximizes your experience of these iconic sights in a short time frame.
