Hey guys, any thoughts on dining at Primrose?

We know where we will hit up for Gulf Shrimp, and grouper.

As a bit of a wanna-be foodie, I am noticing Primrose. (not necessarily for Sushi/Sashimi)

I would love any thoughts!

Any recommendations for the best place for Grouper these days???

Primrose in Destin has been getting good buzz from locals and visitors alike, especially for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creative twists on Southern cuisine. While they do have sushi options, many diners visit Primrose for the non-sushi dishes, including seasonal seafood, steaks, and chef-driven specials.

Feedback from recent visitors highlights:

  • Fresh, flavorful seafood dishes beyond sushi, including pan-seared and blackened options.
  • Beautifully plated entrees that are a bit upscale but not overly formal, making it great for a casual foodie experience.
  • Excellent service and a comfortable, modern atmosphere.

For classic Gulf grouper, Destin has several standout spots depending on the experience you want:

  • Louisiana Lagniappe: Known for fresh, whole fish offerings and Gulf seafood specialties. Their grouper dishes are consistently praised.
  • Harbor Docks: A Destin staple with an emphasis on fresh local catches. Grouper is a highlight here, often offered grilled, blackened, or fried.
  • Destin Harbor Boardwalk eateries: Multiple casual seafood spots along the harbor offer great daily catches, often sourced locally.

Overall, if you want a more modern, chef-driven dining experience, Primrose is worth trying, especially if you enjoy exploring creative preparations of local seafood. For classic, reliably excellent grouper, Harbor Docks or Louisiana Lagniappe remain top recommendations in Destin.
