Trip Report December 29-February 2

We had a great time visiting in Destin for over a month. We stayed at Destin Gulfgate, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with large rooms and a very large balcony.

This is a very welcoming place with morning coffee and donuts get togethers and evening dinner get togethers in their community room. Many snowbirds stay here and they are very welcoming and friendly. We ate at mostly adult type restaurants since for this trip no kids or grandkids could join us. We enjoyed Marina Cafe, Bijoux, Louisiana Lagnaippe, Mimmos and family favorites like Louis, Louis, Red Bar, Boshamps and Deweys. We visited with friends from home who were here at the same time, saw long times friends and fellow Destination Expert, Miramar Beach Lover and her hubby and friends who visited us from Galveston. We had a surprise snowstorm and it was lots of fun. Mr. Cowboy played golf several times and I hit all the shops and malls. We walked on the beach for exercise and fun. It was a great vacation.

You also made time for personal interests and leisure activities. Golf outings, shopping excursions, and long walks on the beach contributed to a relaxing yet active vacation. The surprise snowstorm added a unique and memorable touch to your winter getaway.

Social connections were a big highlight, as you met friends from home, fellow Destination Experts, and even visitors from Galveston. This community interaction, combined with the beautiful surroundings, shows that Destin offers both relaxation and engaging social opportunities for visitors.
