Hello,
We are off to vegas from the uk and are planning to visit some national parks. Our plan was to buy the pass at the first park. However the first park will probably be red rock canyon which seems to be booked and pay in advance. The question is after we have paid can we still get the pass and what we have already paid would go towards the pass cost?
Hope that makes sense.
It sounds like you're planning an exciting trip to Vegas and some beautiful national parks! The America the Beautiful Pass is a great option for saving on entrance fees to national parks across the U.S., and it’s valid for one full year from the date of purchase.
Regarding your question about paying for Red Rock Canyon entry before purchasing the pass, unfortunately, the answer is typically no — the entrance fees you pay directly at the park are not credited toward the cost of the pass. The America the Beautiful Pass is a separate purchase, and it won't apply to any fees you've already paid for that specific park visit. However, if you are planning to visit multiple national parks, the pass will quickly pay for itself as it covers entrance fees for a variety of parks across the country, including Red Rock Canyon.
If you still want to buy the pass and use it for future visits, here are a few things to consider:
In summary, you won’t be able to get a refund for the Red Rock Canyon fee towards the pass, but once you have the America the Beautiful Pass, you’ll save on entry fees to other parks you visit during your trip. Enjoy your adventure!
