Bingling Si opening days

Hi all,

Does anyone know if BinglingSi is opened in the very beginning of November and if it is closed on Mondays ?

Many thanks

Bingling Si (Bingling Temple Grottoes) is a popular historic site located along the Yellow River in Gansu Province. The opening schedule can vary slightly depending on the season, weather, and maintenance requirements, especially in the off-peak months like November.

For the beginning of November:

  • The site is generally open to visitors in early November, though some facilities such as boat services or certain cliff-side paths may be limited due to colder weather.
  • There is no official closure on Mondays; the temple and grottoes typically operate 7 days a week in November, but it is always recommended to check for any short-term closures for maintenance or local holidays.
  • Visitor numbers are usually lower in November, making it easier to explore without crowds, but weather conditions along the river can be cold, so dressing warmly is advised.

Additional tips:

  • Check the local tourism bureau or your hotel in the nearby city (such as Lanzhou or Yongjing) for any last-minute schedule changes.
  • If you plan to use the ferry or boat to reach certain grottoes, verify in advance if the service is running in early November.
  • Arrive early in the day to have sufficient time for exploration, as some parts of the site involve hiking and boat rides.

In summary, Bingling Si is usually open at the beginning of November, including Mondays, but it’s wise to double-check for seasonal adjustments or temporary closures before your visit.
