Update on Sarasota

I’m currently at lido beach. It’s back to being beautiful. The water is so clear. Big change from what it was after the hurricanes.

St Armand’s is not back to what it was but many restaurants have reopened. Some shops still closed.

Downtown is definitely up and running. Went to element last night for happy hour and it was busy.

Sarasota has seen a strong recovery after the hurricanes, and visitors will find much of the area looking vibrant and welcoming again.

Lido Beach: The beach has returned to its beautiful condition, with clear water and soft sand. It's an excellent spot for sunbathing, swimming, or simply enjoying a relaxing day by the Gulf of Mexico.

St. Armands Circle: While not fully back to pre-hurricane levels, many restaurants have reopened, offering a good variety of dining options. Some shops remain closed, so you may find a few gaps in shopping, but the area still maintains its charm for strolling and enjoying an afternoon or evening out.

Downtown Sarasota: The downtown area is fully operational again. Restaurants, bars, and cafes are busy, reflecting a lively atmosphere. For example, Element, a popular spot for happy hour, is bustling and a great place to socialize and experience local nightlife.

  • Lido Beach: Clear water, great for swimming and relaxation.
  • St. Armands Circle: Many restaurants open; some shops still closed.
  • Downtown Sarasota: Vibrant dining and nightlife options.

Overall, Sarasota offers a mix of beach relaxation, dining, and entertainment. While some areas are still in recovery, most key attractions are up and running, making it a great destination for visitors looking to enjoy both natural beauty and urban amenities.
