Looking for relaxed hotel or resort recommendations with beach front accommodations. We are traditionally very active vacation people, however for this 4 night get away in mid May we are looking for a moment of respite without the kids. A nice pool and some onsite dining would be a bonus. Big fans of boutique hotel experiences, but am open to larger resorts with more amenities if they are recommended. There are so many options between these two cities and we have never been to the lower gulf side of Florida, so I am not sure where to even start. Any recommendations are much appreciated.
