LA Galaxy.. travel time

Hi, we would like to see LA galaxy play in April at

Dignity Health sports stadium. We can see a weekend night game when we are staying at West Hollywood and at Anaheim, just not sure which is the best game to pick up for travel time etc from either of these locations? We will be driving

The LA Galaxy play at Dignity Health Sports Park, which is located in Carson, south of downtown Los Angeles. Driving times from different parts of LA can vary significantly depending on traffic, especially in the evenings and on weekends.

Travel time considerations:

  • From West Hollywood: The drive is approximately 25–30 miles, but traffic can easily double the travel time in the evening. Expect 45–75 minutes depending on the game time and current traffic conditions.
  • From Anaheim: The stadium is about 25–30 miles northwest of Anaheim, which usually takes around 30–45 minutes without heavy traffic. However, weekend evening traffic on the I-5 can increase travel time to 1–1.5 hours.

Recommendations:

  • If you are staying in West Hollywood, attending a weekend night game at Dignity Health Sports Park is feasible but plan to leave at least 1.5 hours before kickoff to allow for traffic and parking.
  • If you are staying in Anaheim, the travel is slightly shorter and might be less stressful, though some weekend traffic is still expected.
  • Consider checking real-time traffic apps (Google Maps, Waze) before leaving to adjust your departure time.
  • Parking at Dignity Health Sports Park is convenient but can get crowded, so arrive early to find a good spot and avoid last-minute stress.

Overall, both West Hollywood and Anaheim are doable for attending the LA Galaxy game. West Hollywood offers a slightly longer and potentially more congested drive, while Anaheim may be easier if coming from that direction. Pick the game that best fits your overall itinerary and allow extra time for traffic.
