As of now the ticketed event (10p-1am) at MK is only through May 19. Other parks are listed through later months.
I’ll be there the following week. Do they usually add more dates or is it likely over at MK on 5/19?
Also I’m staying delux so will be able to do extended hours. How do the crowds compare between the extended hours v the ticketed extra hours?
Thank you!
Regarding the Magic Kingdom (MK) ticketed after-hours events, Disney occasionally extends the schedule if demand is high, especially for popular dates like holiday weekends or during school vacation periods. However, if your visit is the week following May 19, it's not guaranteed that additional dates will be added beyond what is currently published. Disney typically updates the calendar a few weeks in advance, so it’s worth checking regularly or setting up alerts on the official Disney website or app for any newly added dates.
As for the Extended Evening Hours available to deluxe resort guests, these are separate from the ticketed after-hours events. Extended Hours usually allow select attractions and areas to stay open beyond standard park closing, but they are less crowded than regular operating hours because the number of eligible guests is limited to deluxe resort stays, Disney Vacation Club members, and other select groups.
In comparison:
Overall, for maximizing attractions with minimal lines, ticketed events are the quietest option, but Extended Evening Hours are still advantageous if you’re staying at a deluxe resort and want extra time without purchasing a separate ticket. If your goal is to experience rides with very short waits and enjoy a more exclusive feel, the ticketed after-hours events are preferable, but any extended hours for deluxe guests still offer a significant crowd advantage compared to standard park operation.
