The Disneyworld website says that the monorail begins running a half hour before park opening but I've seen mixed messages online.
Early entry time is 8:30 am for MK and for Epcot on our dates.
Will we be able to take a monorail at 7:30 am from the Polynesian to MK?
Will we be able to take a monorail at 7:30 am from the TTC to Epcot?
The Disney monorail system generally begins running around 30 minutes before the park opens, which means you should be able to catch it to reach the parks early, especially if you are attending Early Entry. However, there are a few important details to keep in mind to ensure you're able to get to the parks on time.
Monorail from Polynesian to Magic Kingdom:
If you are staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the monorail to Magic Kingdom should start running around 8:00 AM, which is 30 minutes before the official 8:30 AM early entry time for the park. While it’s possible to catch the monorail at 7:30 AM, it’s not guaranteed, as the first monorail tends to depart closer to 8:00 AM. You may be able to catch a bus or walk if you arrive earlier, but for the monorail, it’s safest to plan for an 8:00 AM departure to avoid any issues.
Monorail from the TTC to Epcot:
For Epcot, the monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) will also begin running about 30 minutes before park opening, which means it should be available around 8:00 AM for the 8:30 AM early entry at Epcot. If you’re trying to catch a monorail at 7:30 AM, it's unlikely to be running yet. You would need to wait until closer to 8:00 AM for the Epcot monorail.
Tips to Ensure Early Arrival:
Conclusion:
While you may not be able to catch the monorail at exactly 7:30 AM from either the Polynesian to Magic Kingdom or the TTC to Epcot, you should be able to catch the monorail closer to 8:00 AM, which still gives you ample time to arrive for Early Entry. If you're aiming for the earliest arrival, consider planning to be at the stations by 7:45 AM at the latest to be safe.
