Tusker House breakfast
Hi,
We’ve booked breakfast at Tusker House for 7.50am in a couple of weeks, but are not staying at a Disney hotel. What time would you recommend we arrive at Animal Kingdom? And is it easy to get in?
Thanks in advance
For a 7:50am breakfast reservation at Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, timing and planning are important since you are not staying at a Disney Resort. Tusker House is located in the Africa section of the park, and arriving early ensures you have time to pass through security, ticketing, and get to the restaurant without feeling rushed.
Recommended Arrival Time:
- Arrive at Animal Kingdom about 30–40 minutes before your reservation, so around 7:10–7:15am. This gives you time for bag check, ticket scanning, and a short walk to Tusker House.
- Animal Kingdom usually opens its gates to guests about 30–60 minutes before official park opening for those with dining reservations, so arriving early ensures you are among the first in line and avoids long waits.
Tips for Non-Disney Resort Guests:
- Have your tickets ready in advance, whether mobile tickets or printed, to speed up entry.
- Consider parking in the main lot; it opens before park opening, but allow extra time to shuttle or walk from parking to the park entrance.
- Check for the latest park opening hours online or on the My Disney Experience app, as opening times can vary, especially for early dining.
- Arriving early also gives you a chance to take photos in front of the Tree of Life or explore a bit before breakfast.
Getting into Animal Kingdom:
- Entry is straightforward with standard security checks and ticket scanning. Early morning is less crowded than mid-morning, so it is typically easy to get through quickly.
- Follow signs to Tusker House once inside the park; it is well-marked and located near the Kilimanjaro Safaris area.
In summary, aim to arrive 35–40 minutes before your reservation to ensure a stress-free entry and a relaxed start to your Tusker House breakfast experience.
