Airport hotels

What hotel near the airport would you recommend if you had to stay a couple days? Looking for a nice pool, restaurant etc. would like a shuttle to the airport as well. Thanks!

Great question! There are several very good hotels near Orlando International Airport (MCO) that offer a solid mix of comfort, pool, dining options, and shuttle service to the airport. Below are some recommendations depending on how “nice” you want to go.

  • Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel — This is a very upscale/chic option right by the airport. They have a large outdoor pool with cabanas, an on-site restaurant called Fresco, plus a bar (Malabar) for cocktails. They offer a 24-hour shuttle from the airport (just call to request pick-up).
  • Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside — A resort-style hotel with indoor and outdoor pools, picturesque lakefront setting, and several on-site restaurants/bars. There is complimentary airport shuttle service, and the atmosphere is relaxing yet polished.
  • Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport — Actually in the airport area. It has a rooftop pool (on the 6th floor) with food & beverage service, plus a restaurant (Hemisphere) on the 9th floor with runway views. The lobby bar is also very approachable. — Note: This Hyatt does *not* have a free airport shuttle, so you’d likely take Lyft/Uber or taxi.
  • Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Airport — More mid-tier, but dependable. They have a nice outdoor pool, an on-site bistro (serving breakfast and light meals), and a complimentary shuttle to the airport.
  • Ramada Suites Orlando Airport — A good value choice if you need more space (suites), a pool, and a free round-trip airport shuttle. The rooms also include a fridge and microwave, which is handy for longer stays or light snacks.

Tips for booking:

  • When you reserve, double-check that the airport shuttle is running 24/7 (or at least when you arrive/leave). Some shuttles are scheduled only at set times.
  • Ask about pool hours—some hotel pools may close earlier in the evening, depending on the property.
  • If possible, reserve a room with a view (lake-view at Marriott Lakeside is especially nice) so that downtime before or after flights feels more relaxing.
  • Use the hotel’s own website or app to book — sometimes there are “airport special” packages or discounts.

My recommendation: If I were staying just a couple of nights and wanted a bit of luxury and convenience, I’d lean toward the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel. If I were more budget-conscious but still wanted comfort, good pool, and shuttle, the Marriott Lakeside or Courtyard would be great picks.
