Best location
Would be grateful for advice as to where is the nicest area for a villa? Would prefer a more spacious resort without houses right on top of each other if possible, maybe backing onto a golf course? We spend a lot of time at the house so a bit more private than some of the places I’ve been seeing. Where do you love?
When looking for a villa in the Orlando area, especially if privacy, space, and scenic surroundings are important, the key is to focus on resort communities that are designed around golf courses, lakes, or natural preserves. These areas often provide larger lots and villas that aren’t tightly packed together.
Here are some of the nicest areas to consider for a villa rental in Orlando:
- Reunion Resort & Golf Club: This is one of the top choices for spacious villas. Many homes back onto golf courses and offer private pools, with a resort feel but still plenty of privacy. It has a mix of golf, luxury amenities, and family-friendly options.
- Waldorf Astoria / Bonnet Creek Area: Near Disney, this area has large villa-style accommodations and less dense development. Villas often come with private pools and the resort setting includes access to spa and golf facilities.
- ChampionsGate: A popular area for vacation rentals, with many villas backing onto golf courses. Homes here tend to be on larger plots compared to some other resort areas.
- Lake Buena Vista / Windsor Hills / Windsor Palms: While these areas are slightly more developed, there are some larger, more private villas, often with conservation or lake views, offering a balance of privacy and convenience to the parks.
- Omni Orlando Resort / Champions Gate West: Villas here are a little more secluded with access to golf and spa amenities, providing a resort-like feel without crowding.
Tips when selecting a villa:
- Look for listings that specifically mention backing onto golf courses, lakes, or green space for more privacy.
- Check satellite views and maps to see how close neighboring homes are.
- Consider the size of the villa and pool deck to ensure your family has ample space to relax.
- Resort amenities vary — some have full concierge services, golf privileges, and gated security, which may enhance your experience.
Personal favorites for privacy and space are usually Reunion Resort and ChampionsGate, as these offer larger lots, scenic views, and a quieter environment compared to the denser villa communities closer to Disney’s main entrances.
