Forbidden City or Temple of Heaven

We’ll be on the cruise and have to choose between two shore excursions. One will include the Forbidden City and the other the Temple of Heaven. Unfortunately, we can’t do both in one day. I understand that we won’t be able to see a lot on one tour but need to make a choice. Which one would you recommend?
