Hello,

I am traveling to SF with my family next June as the first part of a California road trip. We would stay for 2-3 nights in SF. Looking for an area that is safely walkable to casual restaurants, accessible by public transport, and not terribly far from main tourist sites. I would love specific recs for good, basic hotels (I don't need luxury or many amenities like pool or gym).
