Moxy Hotel South Beach / restaurants
Hello,
Staying here for one night in Sep after a cruise. Wanted a hotel near the beach (plan to spend the day at the beach) - hotel details ‘free chairs’ at beach, anyone know if these are sunbeds or chairs?
Also any recommendations for restaurants near the hotel for my husband & I (no kids)good music, cocktails? Thank you
It sounds like you’re going to have a wonderful time in Miami Beach! The Moxy Hotel South Beach is a trendy spot, and it’s great that you’re planning to relax on the beach. Here’s some helpful information for you:
Beach Access & Free Chairs:
The "free chairs" mentioned by the hotel likely refer to standard beach chairs, not sunbeds or loungers. They are typically folding chairs that provide a comfortable spot to sit and relax on the sand. However, since the wording can sometimes be unclear, I recommend contacting the hotel directly to confirm whether they offer sunbeds (lounge chairs) or just regular chairs. Some hotels in the area offer both options depending on the package.
Restaurant Recommendations Near Moxy South Beach:
Miami Beach has a fantastic dining scene, and there are several great places near the Moxy for both great food and a lively atmosphere. Here are some suggestions:
- Lolo’s Surf Cantina: Located just a short walk from the hotel, this vibrant Mexican restaurant is known for its delicious tacos, margaritas, and lively atmosphere. It has a laid-back vibe with great music, making it a perfect spot for a fun, casual dinner.
- Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co: This is a popular spot for cocktails, with an extensive drink menu and a cool, relaxed ambiance. It’s a great place if you’re looking for a place with good music and creative cocktails, just a short walk from the Moxy.
- The Clevelander: If you’re looking for somewhere that’s a bit more lively, The Clevelander offers a mix of drinks, food, and live music. It’s iconic for its outdoor patio and poolside setting, with a fun vibe that’s ideal for couples. They often have DJs or live bands, so it’s a good choice for cocktails and music.
- La Sandwicherie: For something more casual but still delicious, this French-style sandwich shop is a South Beach favorite. They serve fresh, tasty sandwiches and smoothies, and it’s open late for a quick bite after enjoying the beach.
- Nikki Beach Miami: If you want to experience something a bit more upscale and beachside, Nikki Beach is a popular spot for cocktails, good food, and live music. It’s more of a beach club vibe with a lively crowd, so it’s perfect for an evening out.
Additional Tips:
- Dress Code: Many of the beachside bars and restaurants in Miami Beach have a casual but fashionable dress code, especially in the evening. It’s always a good idea to check the dress code beforehand if you plan to visit a more upscale venue.
- Walkability: Since you’ll be staying in South Beach, you’ll find that most of the popular restaurants and bars are within walking distance. So you’ll be able to enjoy the vibrant nightlife without needing to drive or use transportation.
I hope this helps you have a fantastic evening in Miami Beach! Enjoy the sun, the cocktails, and the music!
