Beachfront hotels family friendly in Miami Beach

Any recommendations for family friendly beachfront hotels in miami beach? This is my frist time going to Miami beach and would like to stay in a nice place. I will also consider Hollywood or Fort Lauderdale.

Thank you,

Miami Beach is a fantastic destination for a family-friendly vacation, offering beautiful sandy beaches, warm water, and a wide range of hotels catering to families. While some of the South Beach area hotels are more adult-oriented, there are still excellent beachfront options suitable for families. Hollywood Beach and Fort Lauderdale are also good alternatives, often quieter and with more family-focused accommodations.

Miami Beach Family-Friendly Beachfront Hotels:

  • Loews Miami Beach Hotel: Located in South Beach, this hotel is very family-friendly with direct beach access, a large pool area, kids’ programs, and spacious rooms. The on-site restaurants cater to families, and there are activities organized for children.
  • Fontainebleau Miami Beach: A classic Miami resort with multiple pools, beachfront access, and family-friendly amenities. They offer family rooms and suites, kids’ activities, and several on-site dining options.
  • Nick Hotel, Miami Beach: Smaller boutique hotel with beachfront access and a welcoming atmosphere for families. It offers suites with kitchenettes, making it convenient for families with young children.
  • 1 Hotel South Beach: Eco-friendly resort with multiple pools, direct beach access, family rooms, and programs for kids. The hotel emphasizes wellness and relaxation for all ages.

Hollywood Beach Options:

  • Hilton Hollywood Beach Resort: Right on the boardwalk with direct beach access, pools, and family rooms. The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk has restaurants, shops, and bike rentals, making it very walkable for families.
  • Diplomat Beach Resort: Larger resort with multiple pools, beachfront, family activities, and several dining options suitable for kids.

Fort Lauderdale Options:

  • Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach – a DoubleTree by Hilton: Beachfront resort with easy access to the sand, pools, and a variety of water sports. Close to restaurants and family-friendly activities.
  • Pelican Grand Beach Resort: A family-friendly beachfront hotel with a pool, lazy river, and suites with kitchenettes. The beach is private, and it offers a quieter atmosphere compared to Miami Beach.

Additional tips:

  • Look for hotels with suites or kitchenettes if you’re traveling with young children, as this makes meals and snacks more convenient.
  • Check if the hotel offers kids’ programs or supervised activities to give parents some downtime.
  • Consider proximity to attractions or walkable areas if you want to minimize driving.

Overall, Miami Beach offers a more vibrant, bustling beach experience with plenty of amenities, while Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale provide quieter, family-friendly beachfronts with easy access to boardwalks and local dining.
