The BACC project started in 1995 and officially opened to the public at the end of 2007. This 11-story contemporary art exhibition hall is located in Siam, Bangkok's largest commercial district, and is one of the long-term cultural projects planned by the Bangkok city government.
Introduction:
The interior of the center is mainly designed with circular corridors displaying artworks on each floor with different themed exhibitions. The center is open to the ceiling, with escalators connecting most of the floors. In addition to the corridor exhibitions, there are various exhibition rooms of different sizes displaying artworks.
Besides exhibitions, BACC has several coffee shops and small restaurants where visitors can dine when tired. There are also many small literary shops and stalls selling various items.
Conclusion:
BACC always has different exhibitions and is free to enter. It is also a great place for taking photos. With ample air conditioning and plenty of rest areas, it is conveniently located near shopping malls such as MBK and Siam Discovery. It feels like a blend of art and commerce. It is recommended to add a touch of art to your itinerary when traveling to Bangkok.
