If you love shopping and trend tracking, don't miss Rinku Town, just one stop from Kansai Airport. Whether you're browsing right after landing or before your flight, it's a shopping paradise worth exploring.
The story of this area dates back to the 1980s. Back then, with Kansai Airport's approval, the development of Minami-Osaka Bay was in full swing. This newly developed seaside area across the bay from the airport became synonymous with business opportunities and crowds. Major corporations flocked to Rinku Town, including the Rinku Town Premium Outlets. Opening in the 1990s, it was Kansai's first outlet mall. It has undergone six expansions and expansions to its current size, with the most recent expansion in 2022 bringing the number of brands to over 250.
If I have an early flight, I like to stop by for a coffee after landing, browse stores like Beams, Ciaopanic, United Arrow, and Urban Research, or check out new releases at Nike, UA, and New Balance. If you happen to catch a sale, you can often find great deals at 50% off or more. Then, after dinner, we'll take a bus back to downtown Osaka to check in.
SEACLE, connected to Rinku Town, is a shopping complex with a food court, restaurants, and a Ferris wheel. If you have children, don't miss Nishimatsuya; the children's clothing is surprisingly affordable.
If you have a little more time, nearby are Nikko and Don Quijote, which will definitely satisfy most shopping needs.
📍Address: 3-28 Rinkuoraiminami, Izumisano, Osaka 598-8508, Japan
🚗From Kansai Airport, take the Nankai Electric Railway one station to Rinku Town, which is a three-minute walk away.
