Stopped by Chattea Kopitiam for lunch and it turned out to be a satisfying little retreat from the busy streets. I ordered a kopi ice and a plate of wanton mee—simple, no-frills comfort food done right.
The kopi ice was bold, slightly bitter, and perfectly chilled—just the way I like it. Great for a hot afternoon. As for the wanton mee, it had that nostalgic springy texture, lightly tossed in dark soy sauce, with slices of char siew and wantons on the side. Every bite reminded me of classic hawker flavours but served in a cleaner, more relaxed kopitiam setting.
The vibe inside was chill, with both modern and nostalgic touches. It’s one of those spots where you don’t feel rushed—you can just enjoy your meal and sip slowly.
