Exploring Lanzhou felt like stepping into a living museum where history, faith, and creativity meet. The city’s rich connection to the Silk Road is reflected beautifully in its statues and public art — from elegant Buddhist figures to modern sculptures scattered across parks and streets.

I loved how every corner seemed to tell a story: peaceful Buddha statues in the museum, vibrant murals and carvings along the riverfront, and symbolic monuments celebrating Lanzhou’s cultural past.

Walking through the city, I couldn’t help but feel the deep artistic spirit that defines this place — a blend of ancient craftsmanship and modern imagination, still alive in the heart of Gansu’s capital.
