Address: 19, Laburnum Road, Gamdevi, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400007
Atmosphere/Decoration: A peaceful two-story house with a traditional look. Inside, it’s quiet and simple, with neatly arranged displays and wooden interiors that reflect the era in which Gandhi lived.
Highlight: This house was an important base for Mahatma Gandhi during his visits to Mumbai. It now serves as a museum that shares his life story, values, and work through photographs, letters, and personal items. There’s also a room preserved as it was during his stay, along with a small library and exhibits showing key events from India’s independence movement.
It’s a calm place to learn about history and reflect on ideas like non-violence and social change.
