Osaka isn’t just about castles or Dotonbori.
If you only have 1 day but don’t want to rush, I recommend a chill itinerary in the style of "eat, travel, stroll, and take photos."
Perfect for café hopping lovers and serious foodies 🍜☕️📸
☀️ Morning: Cute Cafes in Nakazakicho
Start your day by taking the train to Nakazakicho.
This area is full of small cafes in old Japanese houses with a vintage atmosphere.
We sat at Cafe Taiyō no Tou, a small shop with homemade cakes and fragrant coffee.
The warm decor feels like grandma’s house, perfect for a slow-life start to the day.
🍜 Noon: Legendary Ramen
Continue strolling to Umeda and stop for ramen at Ichiran Ramen or Kinryu Ramen.
Chewy noodles, rich original broth, served in a simple setting.
If you want to try authentic Japanese ramen, don’t miss this.
☁️ Afternoon: Walk Around Namba – Shinsaibashi
In the afternoon, stroll around Shinsaibashi, the main shopping street with food, cafes, and fashion stores.
Then walk into the small alleys where cute hidden cafes are everywhere.
🕯 Evening: Dinner at a Yakiniku Restaurant
End the day with dinner at Hozenji Yokocho, an old alley lined with Japanese restaurants.
We chose to sit at an izakaya with an authentic Japanese atmosphere, enjoying grilled fish, sashimi, and cold beer.
🌸 You can have a great day in Osaka if you choose a good route like this.
If you want to travel without rushing, get great photos, and taste authentic Japanese flavors, try this itinerary.
