What impressed me the most while exploring Deoksugung Palace was the harmonious blend of diverse architectural styles in one place. True to its identity as a Joseon Dynasty palace, it features elegant pavilions, among which Jukjodang exudes a serene atmosphere and a sense of royal dignity as a living space for the royal family. Particularly, Seogeodang, which lacks the traditional dancheong (colorful decorative patterns), offers a unique charm with its simplicity and profound beauty, evoking a different kind of emotion compared to other pavilions. The natural texture of the wood, unadorned yet timeless, accentuates the weight of history. ๐บ
Seokjojeon, a modern building showcasing Western architectural beauty, adds an exotic charm to Deoksugung Palace. The coexistence of tradition and modernity, as well as Eastern and Western styles, makes Deoksugung a living history that encapsulates an era of change and a space that offers new inspiration with every visit. ๐งฉ
