Continuing from the previous article, after returning from Lijiang in Dali in September, I thought I would not go far away in the near future, chatting with my husband some time ago, talking about the Geminid meteor shower in December, which is the largest meteor shower of the year, the 13-14th is the peak, there are more than 100 per hour, you can see it with the naked eye, my husband is very interested and bought an equatorial mount to take pictures, I have never seen it, and I followed the fart, we are estimated to not be able to see it in Shanghai (too bright), I have to find a place, check the surrounding area and decided to go to Anji's Jiangnan Tianchi, I am ready to book tickets a week in advance, Shanghai started to rain, we looked at the weather forecast with apprehension, not surprisingly Anji is also raining, and next week, watching the meteor is no play, and then looking for a place again, somehow talking about Yunnan again, the gentleman said to go to Meili Snow Mountain, I said it was too cold at this time, the gentleman said that it was just right to see the snow mountain (I didn't see the snow when I went to Yulong and Cangshan before), and I could also see the meteor. I struggled for a moment, what if I ran so far and still couldn't see it? The husband said that if he couldn't see it, there would be nowhere to see it, so he struggled for an hour and then decided.
This time the time was tight, and I didn't do a strategy, so I booked a group on China-TravelNote, 5,000 people, stayed for three nights, we thought it was a group of twenty or thirty people, a big bara run, after buying it, the customer service told us to charter a car, a single car, no wonder this price.

We arrived in Lijiang at noon on December 11, and as soon as we got off the plane, there was an arranged driver and tour guide to pick us up, a very energetic little brother, very enthusiastic, and to do our best to be a landlord, and invited us to our first meal. The little brother is a Naxi ethnic group, Mandarin is very good, I can't hear the accent, and I am very talkative, and I have learned a lot of knowledge while walking along the way in the past few days!
Ittakes 4 hours to drive from Lijiang to Shangri-La, and some places are building roads, but I didn't see it because of the road construction. Arriving at Shangri-La City is almost dinner time, insert a digression, Shangri-La was originally named Zhongdian, there are not many people who come to play, and it is called "Shangri-La" and immediately becomes the "sun and moon in people's hearts" that people are looking for, it seems that this name is still knowledgeable!
We live in the ancient city of Dukezong in Shangri-La City, which was once an important town on the ancient tea horse road, and the horseshoe prints on the stone road seemed to tell us the story of the Horse Gang. The ancient city of Dukezong is the best and largest group of Tibetan dwellings preserved in our country, our rooms are decorated in Tibetan style, we put down our luggage and walked around the ancient city, it is the off-season, there are few tourists. The ancient city of Dukezong has the world's largest prayer wheel, which requires several adults to work together to turn, and when we arrived, there happened to be a few tourists, so everyone worked together to turn three times clockwise, silently praying in their hearts.
Dinner was yak hot pot, after the meal, I walked to Sifang Street, and saw a group of people dancing Tibetan dance, probably because I couldn't see a few people along the way, and suddenly saw a group of people dancing on a cold night, a little excited, there were local residents and tourists in the team, I also followed it twice, when I first arrived at the plateau, I was still a little dizzy, and I stopped after dancing for a while.
Back at the hotel, we went up to the terrace, the quiet ancient city was still very beautiful at night, and the giant prayer wheel was more solemn and majestic under the lights. Perhaps because of the lights, the starry sky is not very obvious, so we hope for Deqin the next day.
The next day we set off from Shangri-La to Deqin, the road was another 4 hours, most of the time along the way was on the winding mountain road, the altitude fluctuated and fell, 2000 for a while, 3000 for a while, my ears felt like a plane, fortunately, the little brother drove steadily, there was no big reaction.
Along the way, we passed many high mountains, admired the Napa Sea, overlooked the White Horse Snow Mountain, and overlooked the Jinsha River BayWinter feels peaceful, coinciding with the beauty of the sky, the sun is shining, we enjoy the green mountains and snowy peaks all the way, sometimes you can find villages and rivers scattered in the mountains as soon as you turn around, stop to take pictures when you see the good scenery, although you have been in the car for several hours, but you don't feel tired, and you are very excited. It snowed a few days ago, and the snow has not melted in some places, we have been playing for a while, we haven't played in the snow for a long time, the snow here is not as wet as we have seen in the south, it feels very dry, it is difficult to pinch into a ball, the snowflakes are very large, more like ice flakes, like ice after one game, and the next one, layer by layer, under the sunlight to shine a little bit, like crystal, very beautiful!
At noon we arrived in Deqin, our hotel was built on the Wunongding Observation Deck, which is a good location to see the Meili Snow Mountain, After eating in the county seat, I first went to Feilai Temple, which is also a good location to watch the snow-capped mountains, and Feilai Temple is closer to the snow-capped mountains from the distance.The afternoon sun was bright, wrapping the snow-capped peaks, and a few small white clouds floating in mid-air just dotted the majestic mountains. The highest peak of Meili Snow Mountain, Kawagbo Peak, is the highest mountain in Yunnan Province with an altitude of 6,740 meters, and has not been conquered so far. Our photos can only reflect the momentum of the sacred mountain, if you have the opportunity, I recommend that you experience the sacred and open state of mind for yourself!
As night fell, we began to prepare for the second task - stargazing. In fact, the preparation is to move the camera and tripod to the terrace, adjust the position, of course, this is Mr. to do, I don't understand, and later I found that he didn't understand too much, he had never seen the stars at sub-zero, and he didn't prepare anti-freezing measures, the lens was frozen, seeing that the starry sky was so beautiful that he didn't take a picture, and finally picked a piece that could be used for everyone to look at, Mr. was not satisfied, I think it's already good!
We were here to see the meteor shower, my husband insisted until half past one, saw more than a dozen, it is said that there were two fire meteors, I persisted for half an hour, in a trance as if I saw one, it was too cold, I was afraid to go back and freeze or enter the house, but I was still very satisfied to see the sky full of stars, after all, this is the night sky with the most stars I have seen since I can remember, and I also vaguely saw the Milky Way (I don't know if it is, it is all referring to Mr.), and it is worth the trip. Coincidentally, there was also a young couple from Shanghai, who also set up a camera to watch the stars, our room was next to the terrace, and I was lying on the bed and heard the girl shout excitedly: "I saw two!" So excited! I struggled in my heart for a while but didn't get up, and silently imagined the picture of the meteor passing by, leaving some regrets in everything, right?
The highlight of the third day - see the Rizhao Golden Mountain! The first day the little brother gave us the sunrise timetable, starting at 8:00, we set up the camera at 7:45, in fact, we woke up before 7 o'clock, raised a few chickens next door, and began to crow before dawn, very hard, not stopping for a moment, more powerful than an alarm clock! When the sky was bright, the sky slowly turned white, the outline of the snow-capped mountains gradually became clear, cold and solemn, at 8:00, a bright color jumped out of a corner of the mountain, like unfolding a picture, the sun spread down from the top of the mountain, which lasted for almost 20 minutes, the whole mountain was immersed in the sun, the sky was bright, and a new day began!
breakfast, we started our return journey, returning to Shangri-La from Deqin first, or staying in the ancient city of Dukezong, and heading to the last stop of the trip early on the fourth morning Pudacuo National Park.
About 40 minutes drive from Shangri-La to Pudacuo, Pudacuo has three main tourist areas: Sidu Lake, Militang Ya Alpine Meadow and Bita Sea, in order to restore the ecology, the meadow and Bita Sea have been closed, and currently only the Suidu Lake is open.After entering the park, take the bus to the Zhidu Lake Scenic Area, and there are two ways to visit after getting off the bus, one is to walk 3.3 kilometers along the lakeside plank road, the other is to take a boat, of course we are on foot, Pudacuo is known as the purest place in the air, of course we have to take a few more breaths.
Everything in the park in winter is quiet, the lake is rippled by the wind, the grass has faded green, the flowers are hiding underground waiting to bloom in the coming year, there is a thin layer of ice on the plank road, and the little squirrels are also curled up in the nest We searched for a long time and found no trace, and the spruce firs on both sides of the plank road are full of "tree beards", which is proof of the good environment here. We walked slowly along the plank road, arrived at the shuttle bus stop in more than an hour, and took the car back to the door, just at noon.
In the afternoon, we returned to Lijiang for more than 4 hours the same way, the return trip and the return trip compared to the back trip we were less excited, the little brother talked to us like a lullaby, the sun shone on the body, lethargic, when we arrived at the airport, we thanked the little brother for taking care of us along the way, and returned to Shanghai.
We didn't have many attractions on this trip, and we spent a lot of time on the road, which is also unavoidable, I heard that the highway is being built now, and we can save time from Shangri-La to Deqin in the future. We have basically seen everything we want to see on this trip, which is considered a success, and as usual, I still want to share a little tip at the end of the article.
Fee: This is a group tour, the fee includes air tickets, hotels, fares, and tickets to major attractions. Altitude sickness: We have altitude sickness, which is light, this time the whole process is basically at an altitude of about 3000, walking faster will be panting, climbing stairs will also breathe, my husband and I have insomnia one night, I was the first day when I first arrived, he was looking at the stars that night, the day was fine, fortunately, this time it was mainly a car, not much to walk, slowly walking is fine, completely bearable.
Weather: We were lucky this time, the little brother said that it rained a few days ago, we arrived every day was sunny, it was hot at noon, below zero at night, the temperature difference was still quite large, cold clothes, sunglasses were best prepared, if you want to shoot stars, remember to give the camera to keep out the cold.
Recommended attractions: Of course, the first recommendation is Meili Snow Mountain, we are just looking far this time, and there are two closer attractions Mingyong Glacier and Yubeng Village did not go, Mingyong Glacier takes a day, you can see the glacier up close, Yubeng Village takes a few days, entering the village basically depends on walking, you need good physical strength, if you want to go, I recommend staying for a week.
