Hello! We met again, and we are a CL couple who accompanied each other on their adventures! In September 2020, Luís was forced to stay in Macau due to the pandemic. I was drinking morning tea with my mother and godmother in Foshan, but the two mothers suddenly hit it off and said that they wanted to fly to Yunnan, and I could only silently take out my mobile phone to book a ticket to Guangzhou to Shangri-La in 4 days. Another trip to go, four days and three nights, this time I took my mother and adults to find Shangri-La in my heart.
Gradually I got used to the on-the-go trip, and I completed all the big and small matters such as booking air tickets, hotels, and renting cars in one go. After checking the local weather, I packed my luggage and set off.
Shangri-La in September is not too cold, the temperature is about 6-16 degrees, so we brought a few sweaters and a down jacket. If there is sunshine, Shangri-La is still quite warm; If it is cloudy or at night, there is really a chill in the air.
I brought a few cup noodles, which was considered the bottom luggage of the trip, but I only ate one one night as a late-night snack. I have been eating well in Shangri-La these days, and while the matsutake mushrooms are not in season, matsutake mushrooms and chicken are definitely a common dish on the table. It was also good to take the mother and adults to eat the fire pond once.
The original plan was to take the mother and adults to rest, so the accommodation was expensive, Shangri-La lived in Banyan Tree, Meili Snow Mountain lived in Deqin Hotel, from Tibetan huts to small villas facing the snow-capped mountains, what was needed was this comfort.
Originally, my godmother planned to drive by herself, but we were going to the snowy mountains, so I changed to a chartered car before leaving. It's really super expensive! The price of the chartered car catches up with the accommodation fee for a few days! Our director Brother Lei is very reliable, but unfortunately the middleman makes the difference, otherwise he can save 2,000, and next time he goes to Yunnan, he can contact him directly!
The
first impression of Shangri-La is only the sentence: "The closest place to heaven". Many years ago, I traveled to Lijiang with my mother, and while listening to others tell me about Shangri-La, the years were quiet, and I began to yearn for Shangri-La. In Tibetan, "Shangri-La" means "the sun and moon in the heart", this haunting place, we came to find you as promised.
The
flight schedule from Guangzhou to Shangri-La is still very good, with early departures and late returns, and there is no need to waste time on the day of departure and return. The view on the plane from the city full of high-rise buildings to the green mountains and green waters is the visual sense, which is only three hours.
Compared with the sweltering heat of Guangdong, the cool breath comes to the face as soon as you get off the plane. It seems that I have left the tense atmosphere of the epidemic, and I feel much more relaxed even with a mask.
It is only a 20-minute drive from the airport to downtown Shangri-La, but it feels like going back to the eighties and nineties.
walk-and-go trip is mentally exciting, but physically honest. After getting off the plane, the mother adults showed high reactions one after another. I found an inconspicuous restaurant, sat down to drink butter tea, eat some fried yogurt residue, and slow down.
Pudacuo National Park is an important part of the World Natural Heritage "Three Rivers Flowing Together", located in the basin of the Nu River, Lancang River, and Jinsha River, with Bita Sea, Zhidu Lake and Militang Alpine Ranch as the main components, but unfortunately the core scenic spot of Bita Sea and Militang Alpine Ranch are currently closed.
Pudacuo National Park has been known as a "national park" since 2006. It is also considered by many to be China's first national park, but it is a national park that is cut first and then played.
The first approved national park was actually the "Sanjiangyuan National Park" in Qinghai approved in March 2016, but in October of the same year, the establishment of "Pudacuo National Park" was approved again, which means that Pudacuo National Park was a "underground national park" for 10 years before it truly matched its name and reality, and it was deployed 10 years ahead of schedule.
word "Pudacuo" comes from Sanskrit, like "Potala" in "Potala Palace" or "Putuo" in "Putuo Mountain". Potalaka", but the translation is different.
The entrance to the lake is called "Dangquka", which means "the place where you fish with a stick", and it is also the outlet of the lake, all the way south, to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and then into the Jinsha River. It's hard to imagine that the calm water here will eventually turn into the raging waves of the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
plank road around the lake belonging to Duhu Lake is very beautiful, and it is relatively easy to walk even in the plateau area. We also spent nearly 3 hours stopping and walking. Whether it is green mountains and green waters or sudden dead branches, it shows the endless natural tension.
Songzanlin Monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Yunnan, named "Kadan Songtsenlin" by the Fifth Lama, known as the "Little Potala Palace", which was built in 1679 and has a history of more than 300 years.
Entering the gate of Songzanlin Temple is like walking into a small town, with houses and alleys, showing a simple state of life. Songzanlin Temple is built on a mountain, and to go to the main hall, you need to climb a steep slope of 146 steps. One step at a time, it is both awe and piety.
In the same style as the Tibetan Buddhist architecture, in the Songzanlin Monastery, the two main halls of Zhacang and Jikang stand tall in the center, and the buildings such as the Eight Great Kang Monastery are surrounded and guarded, high and low, and progressive. Looking from a distance, the overall building of Songzanlin Temple is resplendent, and up close, it is a colorful gilded copper tile.
There is a large floor in front of each hall, and it is not allowed to take pictures in the hall. If you meet a lama chanting, it is also a fate arranged by God.
The ancient city of Dukezong is an ancient city with a history of more than 1,300 years, which was once a window for cultural exchanges between the snowy Tibetan countryside and the Yunnan region, and the link between the economy and trade of Sichuan, Tibet and Yunnan. "Dukezong", a Tibetan pronunciation contains two meanings, one is "castle built on stone" and the other is "moonlight city".
Because we went on the
day we left Shangri-La, we didn't stay in the ancient city for too long. It has the world's largest prayer wheel, and you have to turn it around before leaving.
Banyan Tree Shangri-La Ren'an may not be the most beautiful or comfortable Banyan Tree I have ever lived in, but it must be the most nostalgic. This is the first resort established by Banyan Tree Group in China, and the hotel was renovated from dozens of houses purchased by the group from the tribesmen, maintaining the characteristics and traditions of Tibetan residences to the greatest extent.
We stayed in a two-bedroom Tibetan cottage with an elegant and fresh small courtyard.
The duplex structure of the upper and lower floors, the Nepalese carpet is warm and elastic, the wooden bath bucket downstairs is the most distinctive, the large bed upstairs is spacious enough, and the two single beds downstairs are also very comfortable, Simmons is very thick. The wall above the bedside hangs thangka full of national charm.
up aromatherapy, brew a pot of tea, and look out the window at the beautiful scenery, why not enjoy it?
The key shape of the villa is very unique, the heavy bronze plaque is very textured, and it is worn with a small prayer wheel, and the name of the original Tibetan household head is engraved on it. Locking the courtyard gate is a very special way, and we have been studying for a long time how to fiddle with the two pillars that lock the door.
Sometimes travel starts with such an idea. Shangri-La, we finally found it. Songzanlin Temple and Dukezong Ancient City are actually the last day's itinerary, but since they are both near the city of Shangri-La, they are written together. At the next stop, he took the mother and adults to Meili and hugged the snow-capped mountains. Oh, and unexpectedly ran into Tibet!
