We are considering a trip to Phoenix in February since my 11 yo and 8 yo have the week off school. Will it be warm enough to swim if we get a house with a pool? Will it be too cold to enjoy Sedona? We are also looking for fun things to do to really explore the area. Thanks!
Visiting Phoenix in February can be very pleasant, but you should set expectations for weather and activities, especially with kids. Daytime highs are typically in the mid-60s to low 70s °F (18–23°C), while nights can drop to the 40s °F (5–9°C). This means that swimming outdoors can be enjoyable if the pool is heated, but unheated pools might be too chilly for comfortable swimming.
Sedona in February is also mild during the day but can be cool in the mornings and evenings. Hiking and exploring the red rock formations is very doable and often more comfortable than in the hotter months, as you won’t be dealing with intense summer heat. Layered clothing is recommended for both Phoenix and Sedona to adapt to temperature changes throughout the day.

Overall, February is a good time to explore Phoenix and Sedona with kids. Expect mild daytime weather and cooler mornings and evenings, so swimming is possible in a heated pool and outdoor activities are very comfortable, especially for hikes and sightseeing.
