How doable is it?

Staying in Phoenix for 2 nights, already scheduled city walking tour for 2 hours, finished at 6 pm. My plan to go to Desert Botanical garden after that. the lights there every day or only on weekend? Camera allowed or not? Tickets --to buy in advance?
