Quick Notes for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure Single Rider

Just wanted to give brief observations of the single rider option for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. We were in EPCOT yesterday (12/30) and as you can guess it was packed. For us, having been to WDW many times doing Remy single rider as adults was the best option for us.

The stand-by lane was so long they were roping off areas in front of the building. No way we were going to wait in that lane. Now you do not get the entire pre-show as you walk up to the ride, but just being able to get onto the ride 10 minutes after entering the building was well worth it.

After you pick up your glasses they move the single riders to fill in cars where there are openings. My wife was approximately 3 cars behind me. After that the ride is the same for you as everyone else no matter what line you waited in to enjoy the ride.

Another observation from yesterday. There was a group of 6 adults just behind us that chose the single rider option as well. As time goes on it will be interesting to see if this type of choice by adults will slow down the single rider line?

Using the single rider line for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT can be a huge time saver, especially during peak crowds like December 30th. The single rider line is designed to fill empty seats in ride vehicles, so you typically move through the line much faster than the standard standby queue.

Here are some detailed observations and tips based on recent experiences:

  • Time Savings: On busy days, the single rider line can get you on the ride in 10–15 minutes, compared to potentially hours in the standard standby line.
  • Pre-show Experience: Single riders generally skip part of the pre-show or interactive queue experience, since you are routed directly to fill empty spots in ride vehicles. If experiencing the full pre-show is important, this may be a consideration.
  • Ride Experience: Once you board, the ride itself is identical for single riders and regular queue guests. Everyone gets the same 4D experience with Ratatouille’s scaling adventures.
  • Grouping: Single riders are seated individually. If you are traveling with others, you may not ride together. In your example, your wife was three cars behind, which is typical for groups using single rider lines.
  • Impact of Adults in Single Rider Line: As more adults use single rider, it may slightly slow the line at peak times, especially when vehicles have multiple empty seats that need to be filled efficiently. However, it usually remains faster than the regular standby line.

Tips for making the most of the single rider line:

  • Use it during the busiest times of day when the standby line is extremely long, often late morning to mid-afternoon.
  • If riding with a family or group, be prepared to be separated in vehicles.
  • Pay attention to Cast Members directing single riders; they are efficient in filling empty seats quickly.
  • Arrive early or later in the evening to potentially reduce wait times even further, combining single rider with lower crowd periods.

Overall, for adults or those less concerned about missing parts of the pre-show, single rider is a highly efficient way to experience Remy's Ratatouille Adventure without long waits.
