Fastpass for Disney World parks

Is there a Fastpass for all the attractions at the Disney parks in Orlando so that you don't have to queue anywhere for long?

Disney World in Orlando no longer uses the traditional FastPass system as it existed before 2021. Instead, they have implemented a new system called Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane selections.

Genie+: This is a paid service that allows guests to select arrival windows for certain attractions throughout the day, reducing wait times. It covers a wide range of rides, but not every attraction in the park. Some of the most popular rides are excluded from Genie+ and require separate Individual Lightning Lane purchases.

Individual Lightning Lane: For the most in-demand rides, you can purchase access individually, separate from Genie+. This allows you to bypass the main queue for these specific attractions, but again, it is not included automatically in your park ticket and comes at an additional cost.

Things to know:

  • Genie+ can be purchased per day per guest, either in advance or on the day of your park visit.
  • You can book one Genie+ attraction at a time, and once that time window has passed or been used, you can book the next one.
  • Individual Lightning Lane selections are usually limited to 1–2 rides per day, depending on the park.
  • Not all attractions are included; some popular rides, especially new attractions, are only available through Individual Lightning Lane.

In short, there is no universal system that lets you skip all queues at Disney World. Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane can significantly reduce wait times for many popular attractions, but not every ride is included, and you may still experience some lines during peak hours. Planning your selections carefully and arriving early helps maximize efficiency.
