Air China Premium Economy on 777-300

I'm searching for flights on Kayak and I see this okay flight in terms of timings, Frankfurt to Beijing with Air China flight 958. I'm looking for Premium Economy seats but when I click for more info on Kayak, it says the seat is full flat. Went on Air China's website and none of their 777 planes have premium economy seats. Does this mean that I'd get a business class seat with premium economy service/food and everything else? Or would I get an economy seat with extra legroom?

Air China’s Boeing 777-300 aircraft generally feature two main cabin classes for long-haul flights: Economy and Business. Currently, Air China does not operate a dedicated Premium Economy cabin on the 777-300. Therefore, any reference to “Premium Economy” on third-party sites like Kayak may be misleading or refer to extra-legroom economy seats rather than a separate service class.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Business Class / Full Flat Seats: Air China 777-300 business class offers fully flat seats with business class service, including premium meals, lounge access, and additional amenities. If Kayak shows “seat full flat,” it is likely referencing the business class cabin layout rather than a true premium economy product.
  • Economy with Extra Legroom: Air China often labels certain economy seats with extra legroom (bulkhead or exit row seats) as “premium” or “economy plus” on some booking engines. These seats remain in the economy cabin, and passengers receive standard economy service—meals, entertainment, and amenities—but benefit from more space.
  • Booking Clarification: Booking through Air China’s official website is recommended to avoid confusion. You will not receive a hybrid “business service in economy” unless explicitly booked as business class.

In summary, on the Air China 777-300:

  • There is no true Premium Economy cabin.
  • If you select what appears as Premium Economy on Kayak, you will likely get an economy seat, potentially with extra legroom, but not business class service.
  • Full flat seats are reserved for business class; you cannot receive business amenities in a standard economy seat.

It is advisable to confirm seat type directly with Air China or their customer service to avoid misinterpretation by third-party booking platforms.
