Weather observation!

Just keeping an eye on the temps and it looks like next week’s pretty warm (23c)! Is this normal? Coming at the end of the month so keeping check! I’m guessing to pack layers for every eventuality? Wasn’t expecting these temps so pleasantly surprised🤗

It’s great to hear that you’re excited about the warm weather in Las Vegas! Temperatures in Las Vegas can vary greatly, especially depending on the time of year. For late March, a temperature of around 23°C (73°F) is actually pretty typical for the area, especially as the city transitions into spring. It’s a pleasant time to visit, as the weather is usually warm but not yet hitting the scorching summer highs that Las Vegas is known for.

However, you’re right to be prepared for fluctuating conditions, as Vegas weather can change rapidly. Here's what you can expect and some tips on packing:

  • Daytime Temperatures: The days should be quite pleasant, with temperatures in the low 70s°F (around 23°C), which is ideal for outdoor activities like sightseeing, walking along the Strip, or enjoying outdoor pools.
  • Evenings: The evenings in Las Vegas can still be a bit cooler, especially towards the end of March. Temperatures can dip into the low 50s°F (around 10-12°C) at night, so it’s a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater for after sunset.
  • Wind: Keep in mind that March can sometimes bring light winds, which can make the evenings feel a bit chillier. It’s good to pack something that will protect you from the breeze.
  • Layering: As you mentioned, layering is always a great idea. You’ll want light, breathable clothing for the day but something warmer for the evening. A mix of short-sleeve shirts, a light sweater or jacket, and a pair of pants should keep you comfortable.

In short, yes, packing layers is the best strategy. You’ll be able to enjoy the sunny, pleasant days, and stay comfortable in the cooler evenings. Enjoy your trip to Vegas!
