Disney Dining, booking for entire stay 60days before arrival

Hi.

Am I right in thinking I should be able to book dining for my entire weeks stay 60 days before arrival date?

How does that work? If I go into the My Disney app click the + at the bottom and then 'check dining availability' the calendar only goes 60 days ahead suggesting I can only book day 1 dining 60 days ahead then would need to wait a day to book day 2 dining and so on...

Am I doing it wrong?

Just to point out I'm still not at the 60 day point yet so maybe it will suddenly become 'active' and show 67 days availability when I am? Just trying to understand the process so I can be quick when the time comes.

Thanks

Yes, you are essentially correct that you can book Disney dining reservations up to 60 days in advance if you are not staying at a Disney Resort, or up to 60 days plus the length of your stay (for on-site guests) if you are staying at a Disney Resort. Understanding how the 60-day window works is key to planning your dining for an entire week-long stay.

Here’s how it typically works:

  • 60-Day Booking Window: For off-site guests, you can book dining reservations exactly 60 days in advance of the date you want to dine. For example, if your trip starts on April 10, you can book dining for April 10 starting February 9.
  • Disney Resort Guests Advantage: If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you get a special benefit: you can book dining for your entire stay 60 days before your arrival. This means on the same day you hit the 60-day mark, you can reserve all your dining for your entire stay, not just day 1. So if your stay is 7 nights, you should be able to book April 10 through April 16 all at once starting February 9.
  • My Disney Experience App Behavior: When the calendar only shows 60 days, it often just reflects the current “active” window. Once you reach the exact 60-day point, the app should allow booking for all days of your stay if you are eligible as a resort guest.

Some practical tips to maximize your dining reservations:

  • Set a reminder for the exact 60-day mark; reservations for popular table-service restaurants, like Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest, can fill up within minutes.
  • Log into your My Disney Experience account and have your party details ready ahead of time to speed up the process.
  • Be flexible with times, as some restaurants may not have your preferred time slots immediately.
  • If you can’t get the exact reservation you want, keep checking. Disney often releases additional spots or cancellations close to the date.
  • Consider using multiple devices or browsers to increase your chance of snagging high-demand reservations.

So in summary, for Disney Resort guests, you do not need to wait day by day to book each night; once your 60-day window opens, you should be able to book the entire week at once. For off-site guests, you will need to book each day individually as each reaches the 60-day mark. Once the date is reached, the app should reflect the full booking availability, and you’ll be able to secure all your meals for the week if you’re eligible.
