Help me choose a hotel please

Hello-

I am between The Plymouth, The National, The Victor, and Loews hotels in Miami Beach.

I can’t decide which one. Reviews are mainly

Positive for them but of course have their share of negatives.

We’re a couple in our 30’s looking for a nice/luxury experience (wish I could afford one of the super nice hotels!). We like to be in a quieter area and have a nice relaxing pool day and a walkable night to local bars and restaurants. We don’t really want a pool party vibe nor do we want to be kept awake at night with thumping music or loud street noise.

Which one of these hotels provide the luxury feel with clean rooms and pools and low key atmospheres?

Thanks!!

It sounds like you’re looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Miami Beach, and it’s great that you’ve narrowed down your options to The Plymouth, The National, The Victor, and Loews. All of these are fantastic hotels, but based on your preferences for a quieter, low-key atmosphere with luxury touches, here’s a breakdown to help you choose the best one for your needs:

  • The Plymouth: This boutique hotel is known for its intimate, relaxed vibe and beautiful Art Deco design. It’s located in a quieter part of Miami Beach, which should meet your preference for a more peaceful environment. The pool area is lovely and serene, offering a calm atmosphere without the pool party vibe. It’s also close to the beach, and while the hotel is a bit off the busiest parts of South Beach, it’s still within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The reviews generally highlight its cleanliness and attentive service, with many noting it’s great for couples who want a quiet retreat.
  • The National: The National has a bit more of a classic Miami Beach vibe with its iconic modernist design. It’s located in a slightly more central area, so there’s a chance it could be a little livelier, especially around the weekends. However, the hotel offers a more laid-back and sophisticated atmosphere, and the pool area is relaxing, offering a more peaceful experience compared to other properties in the area. It’s also close enough to South Beach’s nightlife but still provides a quieter retreat if you’re looking to avoid loud noise and parties. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, making it a good choice for a luxury feel with a relatively quieter environment.
  • The Victor: The Victor is a modern and stylish hotel located in the heart of the Art Deco district. It has a more upscale and vibrant atmosphere compared to the others, but it’s still a sophisticated spot rather than a party hotel. The pool is beautiful, and there’s a rooftop bar that offers a great view of the city. The hotel’s location is prime for access to local restaurants and bars, but it’s also not far from quieter stretches of the beach. However, depending on the time of year, this hotel can be more lively, so if you’re sensitive to noise, it might be worth considering other options that are further from the heart of South Beach.
  • Loews Miami Beach Hotel: Loews is one of the more well-known luxury properties in Miami Beach. It’s located right on the beach with a beautiful pool area and a luxurious vibe. However, Loews is larger than the others and can sometimes feel more bustling, especially with families and groups. While it offers a luxurious experience with plenty of amenities, the hotel is more likely to have a livelier, more energetic atmosphere compared to the others on your list. If you want to be close to the action but still have the option for relaxation, Loews is a great choice, but it’s not as quiet as some of the boutique options.

Based on your desire for a relaxing pool day, clean rooms, and a low-key atmosphere, I would recommend starting with either The Plymouth or The National. Both provide a more intimate, quieter experience with excellent service and relaxing pool areas. If you want a bit more of a lively atmosphere with a high-end feel, The Victor could be a good fit, but keep in mind it might have more activity around it. Loews is an excellent hotel, but it may not offer the quiet, laid-back vibe you’re looking for, as it tends to be a little more energetic with its larger size and proximity to the busiest parts of South Beach.

Whatever you choose, all of these hotels offer a luxurious experience, so you’ll have a fantastic time in Miami Beach! Enjoy your stay!
