Eat AND play - For kids

Are there any good brewery's or restaurants with playgrounds for kids?

Also, other cool activities for kids in Breck? (yes I know there are other post but I want new info)

We have a 5 year old!

Breckenridge is a fantastic family-friendly mountain town, and there are several options where both adults and kids can enjoy themselves. While many breweries are geared toward adults, some have outdoor areas and family-friendly dining spaces.

Restaurants and breweries with kid-friendly amenities:

  • Broken Compass Brewing – has a casual vibe with a small outdoor area; good for families during the day. While it’s primarily a brewery, kids are welcome in the outdoor seating area.
  • Blue River Bistro – a restaurant with a cozy atmosphere; near some public play areas.
  • Modis – modern American cuisine with a kids menu and relaxed seating.
  • Breckenridge Brewery – offers food along with beer tasting; the outdoor patio can accommodate kids.
  • Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant – fun for families, casual, with colorful décor and kids-friendly menu.

Playgrounds and outdoor spots:

  • Washington Park – a large park with a great playground, open fields, and picnic areas.
  • Carter Park – smaller but fun playground, perfect for little ones.
  • Rec Center in Breckenridge – indoor pool and kid-friendly activities; check for day passes.

Other kid-friendly activities in Breckenridge:

  • Breckenridge Fun Park (seasonal, summer and winter) – activities like mini-golf, alpine slide, and chairlift rides.
  • Ice Skating at Stephen C. West Ice Arena (if visiting in winter).
  • Biking or easy scenic walks along the Blue River Trail – stroller-friendly and safe for young children.
  • Historic Downtown Breckenridge – fun to explore with a 5-year-old, colorful shops, and occasional street performers.
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides – especially magical for younger children.

With a 5-year-old, balancing a visit between outdoor play areas and casual restaurants with good food will make your Breckenridge trip fun for the whole family.
