Airport Parking

I used to use Pikes Peak lot until there was an increase in thefts… then I started using Park DIA, but they’re service seems to keep going downhill. I haven’t tried the Parking Spot yet, but they have pretty good reviews on Google, so I’m considering trying them next. What’s your recommendation?

Choosing airport parking at Denver International Airport (DIA) depends on your priorities—security, convenience, and cost. Since you’ve experienced issues with Pikes Peak lot and found Park DIA declining in service, exploring alternatives is reasonable.

Options to Consider:

  • The Parking Spot: This is a nationally recognized off-site parking provider with a reputation for solid security and shuttle service. Based on Google reviews, many travelers praise their reliable pick-up/drop-off service and well-maintained lots. It can be slightly more expensive than other off-site options, but the trade-off is peace of mind regarding security.
  • Simply Park: Another off-site option near DIA, usually offering competitive rates and a shuttle service to the terminals. Their lots are gated, and many travelers report good service, although not as consistently highly rated as The Parking Spot.
  • On-Airport Economy Lots: DIA economy lots are a short shuttle ride from the terminal. These lots are secure and monitored, but pricing has been rising. Convenience is high, but during peak travel times, shuttles can be crowded.
  • Other Off-Site Lots: Lots like Green Park, Park ‘N Fly, or Ace Parking also provide off-site parking with shuttle service. They vary in quality, so it’s best to check recent reviews before booking.

Recommendation:

Given your previous experiences, The Parking Spot is a solid choice. Its strong reputation for security, friendly service, and dependable shuttle outweighs minor cost differences. Make a reservation in advance, especially during busy travel periods, to ensure availability. Additionally, always photograph your car and note the exact location in the lot for added peace of mind.

Alternative strategies include comparing last-minute rates on multiple off-site lots to ensure you get both good service and a competitive price, or considering on-airport economy lots if convenience is your priority over slight savings.
