Hotel option near LAX

Hi my flight was changed on our way to Hawaii . I can’t handle the flight time from the east coast so we always sleep over but my San Diego flight was changed and we will loose a day in Hawaii so I’m opting to switch to LAX .

Any reccomendations for a hotel close to the airport ?

Great question — here are several solid hotel options near LAX plus tips to help you pick the right one for your overnight stay.

Top Hotel Options Near LAX

  • Hilton Los Angeles Airport — Very close to LAX. Offers a 24/7 shuttle, a pool, and full hotel amenities. Good for a reliable, comfortable stay.
  • Hyatt Regency LAX — One of the closest; some people even walk from the airport terminals. The shuttle runs 24/7 every ~15–20 minutes. Nice modern rooms and good for a layover.
  • The Westin LAX — More upscale, very comfortable, 24/7 shuttle, quieter property.
  • Courtyard by Marriott LAX / Century Blvd — Mid-tier, modern, 24/7 shuttle, on-site restaurant.
  • Embassy Suites LAX South or North — All-suite hotel, very family-friendly, complimentary breakfast, shuttle to LAX.
  • Holiday Inn Express LAX — Budget-friendly, free breakfast, reliable shuttle, very practical for one night.
  • La Quinta Inn & Suites LAX — Affordable, shuttle access, basic but solid for a layover.

Things to Consider When Choosing:

  • Shuttle Frequency & Reliability: Make sure the hotel shuttle runs when you actually need it (late night or early morning). Some hotels report 15–20 minute intervals.
  • No On-Airport Hotels: Note that there are no hotels actually inside LAX terminals — all nearby hotels require a shuttle or a short walk.
  • Noise Sensitivity: Rooms facing the airport runways can be quite noisy. If this bothers you, request a room on the opposite side.
  • Park, Sleep & Fly Packages: Several hotels offer these — you stay one night and leave your car parked while you're away.

Recommendation:

- If comfort and convenience are your top priorities: go for the Hilton LAX or Hyatt Regency.
- If you want something more budget-friendly but still reliable: Holiday Inn Express or La Quinta Inn are good options.
- For a slightly more spacious stay (especially with family or lots of luggage), Embassy Suites is ideal.

Given you're just doing an overnight before your next flight, picking a hotel with a reliable shuttle and close proximity to LAX will probably give you the best balance of rest and convenience. Safe travels!
