Hyatt hotel central to both baseball stadiums

I need your help to determine which Hyatt hotel might be most centrally located as my husband and son will be seeing a game at the dodger Stadium as well as the Angels Stadium. Thanks!

Great question — unfortunately, there’s no “ideal” Hyatt hotel that’s truly central to both Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The two stadiums are quite far apart (Dodger Stadium is north of downtown L.A., while Angel Stadium is in Anaheim), and there just aren’t many (if any) Hyatt properties exactly midway between them. Several seasoned travelers on forums have pointed this out.

That said, here are a couple of Hyatt options and strategies depending on what makes the most sense for your trip:

  • Hyatt Place Glendale / Los Angeles — Located at 225 W Wilson Ave in Glendale.
    • Relatively close to Dodger Stadium — Glendale is one of the more convenient Hyatt locations for Dodger games.
    • From there to Angel Stadium is a long drive (about 30+ miles depending on traffic), but doable if you have a car.
  • Hyatt Regency Los Angeles (LAX) — Right by LAX.
    • Not great for either stadium: it’s far from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, and still a substantial drive to Dodger Stadium.
    • A more “hub-and-spoke” strategy: Stay here and drive to each game. If traffic is manageable (especially midweek), this could work.

Alternative strategy:

  • Stay in Anaheim: There are Hyatt properties near Angel Stadium (e.g., Hyatt Regency Orange County, Hyatt House Anaheim) that are easy for Angels games.
  • For the Dodger game, your husband and son could drive up for the day (or you all could split accommodations). While not ideal, this helps minimize nightly hotel travel and makes both games more accessible.

Bottom line: If he has a rental car (as other trip planners have noted), the trade-off of distance becomes more manageable — and choosing either a Glendale Hyatt or an Anaheim Hyatt depending on which game is more important makes sense. Trying to stay “in the middle” isn’t very practical because there simply isn’t a Hyatt right there, and L.A. traffic can make those drives long.
