Les Cactus?

We are coming to town at the very end of May. My husband and I would like a nice little 21+ boutique hotel, and it looks like Les Cactus fits the bill ... EXCEPT no hot tub after 9, and no outside alcohol, even in rooms. I have also read that you are not allowed even your own water by the pool...?

Does anyone know how strict they are on these policies? 9 seems very early, and we like to go to the grocery store and get fun beers that are hard to get at home, etc.

We are also looking at Hotel California, Los Arboles, and Alcazar. We have loved Dive in the past but its too pricey this time.

Thank you!

Les Cactus in Palm Springs is indeed a popular boutique option for adults, offering a stylish and intimate environment. Based on guest experiences, their policies on pool hours and outside beverages are enforced fairly strictly. The hot tub is typically closed after 9 PM, and guests are generally expected to adhere to the rule against outside alcohol around the pool area. Some guests have reported that staff are vigilant about these rules, so even small items like personal water bottles may be monitored, especially in the common pool areas.

If having flexibility with drinks and late-night hot tub use is important for your stay, you may want to consider other boutique options nearby that are a bit more relaxed in these policies. Here are some alternatives that are also 21+ oriented and well-reviewed:

  • Hotel California: Known for its lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and more relaxed rules regarding outside beverages. Pool hours may vary, so check before booking.
  • Los Arboles: Quiet, boutique vibe with a small pool. Guests often comment that it’s less strict on outside food and drinks, though it’s more subdued in social atmosphere.
  • Alcazar Palm Springs: Stylish 21+ property with a more classic Palm Springs feel. Poolside rules are typically less rigid, and many guests enjoy bringing drinks from local stores.

If you want to stick closer to Les Cactus but still have some flexibility, it’s recommended to contact the hotel directly to clarify their policies regarding bringing your own beverages and pool usage, especially since rules can sometimes be enforced differently depending on the season and staffing. Balancing ambiance, location, and policy flexibility will help ensure a stay that aligns with your expectations.

In summary, Les Cactus offers a beautiful and boutique experience but has stricter rules on pool and alcohol use. If relaxed evening enjoyment is a priority, consider one of the alternative hotels listed above or confirm with Les Cactus directly to see if any exceptions or special accommodations can be made.
