Two older adults Disneyland hotel recommendations

Hello everyone, my wife and I are planning a Disneyland vacation at the end of April. We are NY-ers ....kids at heart...who want to reignite some childhood sense of fun and playfulness that we've lost over the years. We are considering checking into a hotel on Monday April 28th that's proximal/within walking distance to DL and checking out Thursday May 1rst to make our way to LAX for a 10:30 AM departure back to NYC. Our budget is up to 400.00 per night...maximum..and if we can keep that rate below 350.00 it would of course be even better. We do have some criteria in regards to hotel selection. We both enjoy having a pool onsite, a fitness center, firm beds, bathtub and most of all....a relatively quiet atmospher (we're early to bed...early to risers). We were considering Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort Area, Home2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort and the Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort. Any thoughts on which hotel might be best for us?

Thanks!

For a Disneyland trip at the end of April, choosing a hotel that balances proximity to the park, comfort, and quietness is key—especially since you’re looking for a more relaxed experience as older adults who still want to enjoy the “kids at heart” atmosphere.

Based on your criteria—pool onsite, fitness center, firm beds, bathtub, quiet atmosphere, and budget—the three options you mentioned are all within walking distance to Disneyland, but there are differences worth considering.

Hotel Comparisons:

  • Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort Area: Generally well-rated for comfort and quiet. Rooms tend to be modern with firm beds and some suites include a small kitchenette. The hotel has a nice pool and fitness center. It is slightly further from the main entrance of Disneyland compared to some other nearby hotels, but still within walking distance. Typically quieter than chain hotels right on the main strip.
  • Home2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort: Offers spacious suites with kitchenettes, which is convenient if you like to prepare small meals or snacks. Pool and fitness facilities are good, but some guests note that the hotel can feel busier due to larger capacity. Early mornings tend to be quieter, but proximity to Disneyland means some ambient park noise may be heard, especially in rooms facing the street or courtyard.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort: Very close to Disneyland, often within a 5–10 minute walk. Rooms are comfortable with firm beds, and the hotel includes a pool, fitness center, and bathtub. This property generally has a good reputation for quiet rooms, especially on higher floors away from the street. Its central location is ideal if you want the shortest walk to Disneyland, which is nice for early mornings and late returns.

Other Considerations:

  • Since you prefer quiet, request a room on a higher floor and away from the main road or pool area to minimize noise.
  • All three hotels have onsite parking if you plan to have a car, but confirm any daily fees ahead of time.
  • Rates in late April often range $300–$400 per night; booking early will give you the best chance of staying below your preferred $350 rate.

Recommendation:

For your priorities of quiet, comfortable beds, bathtub, and pool, the Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort might be the best fit. It combines proximity to Disneyland with a generally calm atmosphere. Cambria Hotel is also a solid choice if you prefer slightly more modern décor and a boutique feel, though it’s a bit further from the park entrance. Home2 Suites is ideal if having a kitchenette and more spacious suite is a priority, but may be slightly less quiet.

Overall, any of the three will give you a comfortable stay with the ability to enjoy Disneyland without sacrificing your preferred amenities. Prioritize room placement and booking early to secure the best rate and quiet experience.
