10 Day Transit Visa Free - HELP!
Hello,
My current route is:
Seoul → Zhangjiajie → Beijing → Russia
Is it possible to enter through Zhangjiajie and leave from Beijing with 10 Day Transit Visa Free Policy??
Or do I have to enter Beijing, and leave from Beijing??
or Do I have to go this route:
Seoul → Beijing → Zhangjiajie → Beijing → Russia
Or Am I not allowed to take domestic flights at all while on a 10 Day Transit Free permission??
The 10-day transit without visa (TWOV) policy in China allows certain foreign nationals to enter China for a short stay without a visa, but there are specific rules about entry and exit points.
1. Entry and Exit Requirements:
- You must enter and exit through the same or designated cities/airports approved for the 10-day TWOV. Not all cities in China are eligible as entry points for this policy.
- Zhangjiajie is a smaller airport and, as of the latest regulations, may not be listed as an official port for 10-day TWOV. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other major international airports are commonly listed.
- The policy generally requires you to enter China via an eligible airport and exit from the same or another eligible port, but both ports must support the TWOV.
2. Domestic Flights:
- Once you are legally in China under TWOV, domestic flights are allowed. You can travel internally from your entry city to other cities like Zhangjiajie.
- However, your initial entry must still be at a designated TWOV port. So flying from Seoul → Zhangjiajie might not qualify unless Zhangjiajie is officially listed.
3. Recommended Route:
- To ensure compliance, the safest route is Seoul → Beijing (eligible TWOV port) → Zhangjiajie (domestic flight) → Beijing (or another eligible port) → Russia.
- This way, you satisfy the TWOV entry requirements and still get to visit Zhangjiajie internally.
4. Important Notes:
- Always double-check the official Chinese embassy or consulate lists for eligible TWOV ports before booking.
- Have proof of onward travel out of China within 10 days; this is required at immigration.
- Keep all domestic flight tickets handy to show immigration officers if needed.
In summary, you generally cannot enter via a smaller airport that is not listed for TWOV. You should enter through an eligible port such as Beijing, then take domestic flights to other cities like Zhangjiajie, and finally exit from the same or another eligible port within the 10-day period.
