Courtyard and Restaurants with great view
Hello! We will be in Key west for 4 nights next week and looking a cute romantic courtyard dinner and also outside dinner with a nice view. I'm sure just about every place is nice, just looking for recommendations. Thx!
Key West offers a fantastic variety of dining experiences, ranging from charming courtyards tucked behind historic buildings to waterfront restaurants with breathtaking sunset views. For a four-night stay, you can easily enjoy both romantic courtyard dinners and open-air waterfront dining.
Romantic Courtyard Dining
- Latitudes at Sunset Key: Just a short ferry ride from Key West, this restaurant offers an intimate courtyard-style setting with upscale Caribbean cuisine and beautiful sunset views.
- Blue Heaven: Known for its eclectic, tropical courtyard surrounded by trees and colorful décor, it’s perfect for a casual yet romantic dinner.
- Alonzo’s Oyster Bar: While primarily a seafood spot, the outdoor seating is tucked away with a cozy vibe and often less crowded than street-facing venues.
Outdoor Dining with a View
- Louie’s Backyard: Offers oceanfront dining with stunning views, perfect for watching the sunset while enjoying fine cuisine.
- Hot Tin Roof: Located at the Ocean Key Resort, this rooftop restaurant offers both indoor/outdoor seating with panoramic views of the harbor and sunset.
- A&B Lobster House: Classic waterfront dining on the marina with outdoor seating overlooking the boats and water; great for a romantic evening ambiance.
Tips for Enjoying Your Meals
- Make reservations in advance, especially for sunset or waterfront tables, as Key West is popular and can fill quickly.
- Arrive slightly early for sunset seating to enjoy unobstructed views and cooler temperatures.
- Check dress codes; some courtyard and upscale waterfront restaurants prefer smart casual attire.
Combining one or two nights in a tucked-away courtyard with a couple of evenings enjoying sunset views over the water will give you a romantic and quintessential Key West dining experience.
