Warner Bros - Go City Pass

Hi,

Just found out that Warner Bros only allow Go City passes after 2pm which is throwing our plans up in the air. We wanted to visit first thing in the morning before heading out of town.

Our only option now would seem to be to go the afternoon before, after we’ve visited Universal.

I know Universal Hollywood is a lot smaller than Florida but would we likely manage to get around the park by say 3pm and then drive to Warner Bros for the 3:30pm tour?

Thanks in advance

Yes, the Go City Pass restriction of Warner Bros tours after 2 PM can complicate morning plans, but you can still make it work with a well-timed schedule. Visiting Universal Studios Hollywood first thing in the morning is a smart move since the park tends to be less crowded early in the day.

Here are some considerations for your plan to visit Universal and then Warner Bros:

  • Universal Studios timing: Universal Hollywood is smaller than the Florida parks, but it’s still easy to spend 4–5 hours seeing major attractions. If you arrive at opening (usually around 9 AM), you can hit key rides like the Studio Tour, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, and the Transformers ride, plus a few shows.
  • Travel to Warner Bros: The drive from Universal Studios to Warner Bros Studio is roughly 15–20 minutes without heavy traffic, though traffic can get busy in the late afternoon. If you aim to leave Universal by 3 PM, you can realistically reach Warner Bros by 3:30 PM.
  • Park coverage: You likely won’t finish every single attraction at Universal if you’re moving at a moderate pace, but you can prioritize your must-dos. You’ll still get a good overview of the park before heading to Warner Bros.
  • Warner Bros Tour: The Go City Pass allows entry for the standard tour starting at 2 PM, and your 3:30 PM timing is fine. The tour is typically 2–3 hours, so you can plan your afternoon accordingly.

Tips to make the day smoother:

  • Use Universal’s app to check wait times in real-time so you can maximize efficiency and hit the rides you care about most.
  • Consider quick-service meals or snacks inside Universal to save time instead of sitting down for lunch.
  • Book the Warner Bros Go City Pass tour in advance to secure your preferred 3:30 PM slot.
  • Leave a buffer for traffic; if you’re cutting it close, consider heading to Warner Bros a little earlier than 3 PM to ensure timely arrival.

Overall, your plan is feasible. You can enjoy a few key Universal attractions in the morning and still make the Warner Bros tour in the afternoon. It will be a busy day, but it’s very doable with early arrival and a focused plan for Universal.
