Avis rental pick up

Hi,I'm gonna be staying at Loews Hollywood Hotel.Im not gonna pick up a car until a few days into the holiday & it's booked to be collected at Avis rental at LAX.Will take a cab,but do I have to go into the airport or is rental place outside of the airport? Thanks for any response.
