Shopping center near Lujiazui Pudong
Dear Tripadvisor members, may I get you guys advice?:)
I will stay 48 hours in Lujiazui Pudong and wonder if there's any shopping centre nearby with cheap/prices for clothes or shoes?
I've been to Metro and would love to have other alternatives, for sure.
Thank you in advance.
Lujiazui in Pudong is primarily known for its modern skyscrapers, financial district, and luxury shopping, but there are a few shopping options nearby where you can find more affordable clothes and shoes besides Metro.
Here are some shopping alternatives near Lujiazui:
- Super Brand Mall: One of the largest malls in Pudong, located near the Lujiazui Metro station. It houses both international brands and local retailers. While not exactly “cheap,” you can find sales sections and occasional discounts on shoes and clothing.
- IFC Mall (Shanghai IFC): Luxury shopping mall in Lujiazui with high-end brands. For more affordable options, check out the occasional outlet or promotion corners within the mall.
- AP Plaza (Shanghai Science & Technology Museum area): Known for more budget-friendly fashion, shoes, and accessories. It’s a little further but accessible by Metro in a short ride.
- Local department stores: Stores like Parkson and Carrefour in the area occasionally have affordable clothing sections and promotions. They are worth checking for practical and casual wear.
Additional tips for shopping in Lujiazui:
- Visit in the afternoon or early evening when most sales staff are available and discounts might be offered.
- Look for multi-floor department stores where the lower levels often feature more affordable items compared to premium floors.
- Consider checking online shopping apps like Taobao or JD.com in advance, which can sometimes guide you to specific outlets or discount shops near Lujiazui.
In short, while Lujiazui is not known as a budget shopping area, malls like Super Brand Mall, IFC Mall, and nearby department stores provide options beyond Metro. For the most “cheap and cheerful” finds, you may need to venture slightly away from the core Lujiazui area, but these nearby locations are convenient for a 48-hour stay.
