  • Alcala Park and the Hall of Letters: Lovely courtyards and walkways surrounded by classic Spanish-style buildings with red-tiled roofs.
  • Libby Campus Center and Copley Library: The library has both architectural interest and a quiet interior space to explore, while the Campus Center often has student life activity and events to observe.

Popular campus hangouts and dining spots include:

  • Market on the Plaza: Casual café offering sandwiches, coffee, and light fare, great for a quick stop while exploring the campus.
  • Don’s Place: A student favorite for coffee, snacks, and a social atmosphere.
  • University House Café: Often accessible to visitors, serving casual meals with outdoor seating.
  • For off-campus options within walking distance or a short drive: Point Loma and Hillcrest neighborhoods offer a variety of trendy cafés, restaurants, and bars if you want a more lively dining experience after your campus tour.
